Bright Finance donating £1,000 to Help a Hallam Child

Bright Finance gave kids in South Yorkshire a brighter Christmas by donating £1,000 to a major local children's charity.

This year Bright Finance are making a donation to Help a Hallam Child instead of sending out corporate Christmas cards.

The company decided to donate the money that would have been spent producing corporate Christmas cards to Help a Hallam Child instead, as part of its pledge to raise £10,000 for the charity's 'Read to Succeed' campaign.

The campaign hopes to inspire businesses to mobilise their employees to raise the money needed to improve children's reading skills in Sheffield, the rest of South Yorkshire and the North Midlands.

The aim is to raise £1 million over two years which will fund 50 part-time classroom assistants. They will work in schools offering additional and essential one-on-one reading time with individual children who need support.

Paul Hancock, Chairman of Bright Finance, said: "This donation is part of Bright Finance's ongoing commitment to raise money for a very worthwhile local charity. Christmas is traditionally a time for giving so we're only too happy to be able to help."
