Bright Boost Boots For Africa

Mark And Paul

Bright Finance has given its support to the Boots for Africa campaign, as Sheffield FC prepares to deliver them to youngsters thousands of miles away.

The Chapeltown finance firm is helping to organise and store more than 2,000 pairs of boots, which are ready to be sent to thousands of youngsters in South Africa.

Sheffield FC's Boots for Africa campaign has been a huge success since it began in May, with hundreds of groups, clubs and organisations donating their boots.

"sack loads of boots being gathered..."

Paul Hancock, Chairman of Bright Finance and a director at Sheffield FC, said: "We are pleased to offer our support and help the Club get the boots ready to go to Africa.

"The campaign has been very popular with sack loads of boots being gathered. We hope it will continue and people still donate their boots to such a special Sheffield FC campaign."

Bright Finance, who are becoming known nationally as a leading innovative player in the consumer credit industry, are sponsors of the Club's stadium in Dronfield.

The company will also be a key supporter during Sheffield FC's 150th anniversary celebrations during 2007.

Sheffield FC recently announced it had reached its minimum target of 2007 pairs of boots and is arranging for the first batch to be sent to South Africa.

However, the world's oldest football club wants people to continue donating their unwanted boots and support the unique campaign. All boots must be in a good wearable condition and correctly laced and studded.

For teams, clubs or community groups wanting to donate more than one pair of boots, a special group donation pack has been produced to assist them. Local businesses and schools can also apply for the pack, which includes posters, leaflets and collection bags.
